Japanese Field Trip
Today our first graders went on a field trip to the Kenny Center where we visited a Japanese Market, Gift Shop, Bakery, and we even had lunch at a Japanese Restaurant! We had such a great time visiting these places and learning more about the Japanese culture. Our first graders especially enjoyed spending the $3.00 they were allowed to bring at these places. Many children bought Japanese sweet treats such as candy, gum or doughnuts from the Bakery. Other children purchased chopsticks, fans, or Japanese games.
After having so much fun walking around the Market, Gift Shop, and Bakery we were so lucky to have an opportunity to eat lunch at an authentic Japanese restaurant. The children had two options to choose from for lunch: chicken teriyaki or ramen noodles . In the slideshow you can see how so many of our friends enjoyed their cuisine!
We want to thank our moms and dads who joined us on our trip today. Your help was greatly appreciated! We are so lucky to have such wonderful parent volunteers! Thank you, Thank you!!
