Our First Alumni Visitors
We were very lucky to have two special visitors on Friday, Mr. Phil Carlin and Mr. Will Carlin, who came to talk to us about what Columbus Academy was like when they were in school. We definitely learned a lot more about Academy and how it has changed over the years. I think the children would probably have to say one of their most favorite parts of the presentation was when Mr. Phil Carlin shared about how teachers disciplined back in the 1950's. One memorable story that was shared talked about how a teacher hung a student by the back of the shirt collar on a coat rack. The children couldn't believe it!
We want to thank both our visitors so much for taking the time to visit with our class. We really enjoyed learning more about Academy's history!
