Mr. and Mrs. Jeffers Visit First Grade
Today in first grade we were very lucky to have a very special presentation. Mr. and Mrs. Jeffers, who are auctioneers, came to share some of their antiques from the 1800's with us. We saw many items the pioneers would have used. We saw candlesticks, birth certificates called Frakturs, lanterns, cookie cutters, trivets, a knife, a quilt, a cooking skillet and many more very neat items. The Jeffers shared with us many stories about these items and talked a lot about how the pioneers were actually very fancy and how they loved fancy items. We were all very intrigued and truly enjoyed their presentation. We want to thank them for spending time with us today and helping us to learn more about the pioneers and their trip on the Oregon Trail!
