The first graders have started learning all about Japan and the Japanese culture. In Japan on March 3rd, a Japanese girl might celebrate Hina Matsuri, or Dolls' Festival, by displaying her special dolls. These collections inspired us to share our own collections with our class. The children were asked many questions, such as...

2. What is your favorite thing in your collection?

3. Why do you choose to collect these things?

4. How many items do you have in your collection?

5. What is the same and what is different about the things in your collection?

6. What item in your collection came from the farthest away?
