Our surprise Mystery Reader... A POLAR BEAR!
Today we were so surprised to find a polar bear in our classroom. He read us an amazing story about his friends from the Artic called Portia Polar Bear's Birthday Wish. In this book Portia finds out that she is pigeon toed, but she comes to understand that it is o.k. to be different.
After the story, the polar bear showed us a slideshow of all of his friends in the Artic. We saw beautiful photos of of polar bears playing, sleeping, and swimming in the ocean.
We had such a wonderful time with our mystery polar bear and we loved when he finally revealed himself as..... Mr. Swartz!
Thanks you so much Mr. Swartz for all of the time and effort you put into this wonderful read aloud for our first graders. You definitely made our day and a memory we won't forget!
